Default Best Technique for Hinging Split Flaps?

Anyone have a good technique for drilling the hole in "exactly" the right place to "bottom" hinge split flaps? You know, all the holes lined up on the same plane.
Hope my sketch helps.

I used Robart hinges for the split flaps on my TF Spitfire. If I were to do it again, I think that I would strongly consider using a pinned hinge. As for alignment for drilling the hinges, here's something that might work, make some triangle wedges which will give a flat surface perpendicular to the direction you are drilling and then use a drill press with a fence.
