RE: VQ Bf 109 spinner?
If you really want a scale spinner. spend some time and draw up a blueprint of what you want. Take it to t a metal fabrication shop and have them make it for you. It will probbably only cost you about 100 bucks and you will get exactly what you want.

The kavan spinners with the removeable rubber tip work, but dont look good as they dont match the profile of the plane regarding shape of the spinner.

What we need is a 4'' FAI spinner.... that would as least be close to some of the 109 variants. Who sells them? I have looked at Brown and Tru no luck.

Take a look: (price is high though)

It might work for a KMP as well depending on size chosen. Davebrown does not make spinners for P-38 and the FAI are limited to 3 3/8" size

the P-38 spinner on the VQ site is 84mm which is 3.3" a little over 3 1/4" Thomas, would this fit the VQ emil,I also could work with this size for my project barely any one know where a 3"could be found thats not plastic.

Hey guys... What about Skyshark RC? I got a FW-190 spinner from them and it was of excellent quality. This might help y'all... Click here:

Just when you think you are the expert on ME-109E's
Those are artist renditions, not pics of real planes. Feel free to post pics of a real ME-109E that had a pointed spinner. The next model, the "F", had a round spinner nose, but the intake scoop on the side of the plane was also circular and not the slat louvered design of the "E". Those drawings show an "E" version, but the spinner is wrong.
PPL want scale spinners to make their planes look more scale.
The only pointy spinner used on this type of plane was not an ME-109 at all, but instead the Hispano 1112 buchon(spanish built bf-109's with spitfire like exhaust stacks with cooresponding cowl bulges and also no side air instake scoop)

KC, some late E-4's and then E-7's did have a somewhat pointy spinner(not like a regular pointed spinner, but still kinda). I was initially wrong about no E models having relatively pointed spinners. Steve was just being a little ornery at the time, but he was right.

When purchasing from them, items are mailed from what appears to be Tower Hobbes.
