Mine has a CG set as per plans with the gear retracted. Has been flying that way for the past 5 years. I probably could move it a bit more foward, but I flys so doggone well as it is, why mess with sucess?

By the way, my P-38 is also balanced as per plans, and I have no problems with it.

Go with the plans. I actually have moved the CG back 1/2 inch on previous corsairs with no ill effects.
