Finally - everything that was Klass Kote Primed has been fully sanded and tack clothed. Good Ole Dave Platt Grey Coat awaits application. Saturday is supposed to be 57 Degrees so I hope to move everything outside and spray all the individual pieces. God is good so the weather will allow me to spray on some Klass Kote paint tomorrow. Smile.

Chic,
It's about as cold here as it is there. But maybe a few degrees warmer at times. I'm only about an hour south of you,so not that big a difference.
Lots less traffic though and a Great Flying Field with good members 20 Minutes from my house!!
Cant complain about that!
Take care buddy.

Bob - Hope to come down and fly with you this summer. My wife's sister lives down there with her husband. He was the sheriff of Richmond (CT Woody) until this year. Decided to use my time wisely by working on the canopy. Cutting it to fit the fuse, then taping off the interior, paint, then tape off the exterior, and paint. Can paint the canopy inside the shop. Smile. That will keep me busy for awhile. Chic.

Smiling Here Today Guys - The heck with the Super Bowl, no Steelers. Anyway, I'm watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet instead. However, yesterday I sprayed Dave Platt's grey coat on the cockpits and turret enclosure, THEREFORE, after a little sanding, I will be spraying both cockpits and the turret area (Bronze Green and Interior Green - Klass Kote) today. I covered what I could with plastic in the shop and used a small airbrush. It all worked fine inside the shop: Had a window cracked, a dust collector on and sucking up the spray, and a respirator mask on. Based on yesterday's performance, it should all go well today - that is the painting of the two green paints. Will post pictures later this evening. Still making progress I'm happy to say. Chic

Front and Rear Cockpit areas are now painted Bronze Green. The color is darker than shown. The interior of the canopy has also been painted Bronze Green. The exterior of the canopy will be painted white or black per placement on the color scheme (Post 2589). The gun chair and turret interior enclosure will be painted Interior Green, and the exterior of the turret enclosure will be painted white this week..... Chic

Main cockpit canopy painted on outside but I forgot to place rivets on it. Any suggestion on how to do that now that I have painted it. I remembered to place rivets on the turret enclosure - about to paint it tonight (white). I really don't want to re-tape, place rivets, and then re-paint the larger canopy -- HELP.
