ARF -Avenger why has it not be done ?
hi guys I was reading through the Dauntless forum and thought a 90" TBM Avenger would be a mighty nice thing.....torpedos ahoy!
Does anyone else feel this might be a good idea???
Do you have your ears on KMP????
how cool would that be.

we looked at an avenger from another company, but the construction was dire, must admit, it would make a hell of a scale bird, i will have a word in the bosses ear

Having built one, and recently started another, I can tell you that you would come to the quick realization that there are so many compound curves that it would likely never be cost-effective for a company to market such as design. Too much labor to make it look correct (this is assuming that you indeed want the proposed ARF Avenger be look correct, at least from a stand-off scale perspective).
Complicated design. Just my opinion.
Of course, I say all this hoping that a high-quality Avenger ARF with excellent lines NEVER appears... because it would only mean that I could have saved a few years on my builds!

Hey, Hellcat.
First was a Skyshark. Very impressive kit, excellent flyer. Two photos in my gallery.
The second is Charlie Kellogg's. Not much to show, as I have only spent time reworking the parts I got from a kit cutter. Not sure why the parts don't match the plans. Not sure how this happens and why there would be no quality control. My advice for anyone considering this kit, and would like to have it cut, is to make the purchase directly from Charlie (www.kelloggplans.com).
As I move forward, and actually begin the framing, I may post pictures in my gallery. Redtail has a thread on here, so no need for redundancy.
Regards,
Noah

Hi there guys as I see it the model lends itself well to glass fuse with built up and fabric covered wings and paint. The wings and tail are a no brainer, the work is in the fuse, but not that hard to make.
Don't be scared off KMP if it were too hard to make Skyshark wouldn't have made a kit of one for many years or be re-releasing there's in small numbers.

Id be interested in a KMP Avenger as well. A glass fuse would take care of a lot of the build complexities and curves. Id also like to see KMP do a Dauntless
