Regarding the throttle/choke hookup for a G-62 go to www.bennettbuilt.com They sell a throttle/choke linkage set up that gets both functions moving fore and aft making them much easier to hook up. SAtill some figuring to get it installed but works great.

I'll begin constructing my TBM Zero in a few weeks. I've got the engine, servos, batteries, and the cockpit kit. Now I want a realistic Japanese pilot figure. Can anyone provide direction as to where I should start looking?
Thanks in advance!

RE: TBM 93
Has anyone seen the Easytiger Zero:
http://easytigermodels.com/index.php...roducts_id=144
95" span
about 25 pounds
For 50cc on up
Split flaps
Glass fuse
wood wings
covered and painted.
All heavy-duty hardware included
Retract and strut set with all air hardware is $295
It looks like this is the same fuselage, but the wing is a 2 piece (or is that one when glued together?) I couldn't find a thread or info on the plane.
Right now TBM's zero seems like a better deal cause it comes with more stuff. I'd like to know more about the wing on this one though.

RE: TBM 93
Well, I am having to return mine for a full refund because it is the biggest piece of you know what I have seen. My first fuse had to be returned because it had cracks in it probably thanks to UPS, but the replacement fuse that was sent to me was even worse. So, I do not feel at this point it is worth it so I am returning the entire plane to TBM for a refund.

Kenny, I'm no Rep, so I can say what I feel about this plane with any undue but for what you get, your not gonna beat it. I'v built over 100 planes in my life, most kits and some even scratch and for a big single this is a prize. keeping my eye on TBM for the F7F tigar. I want to build a big D-18 or mabey even try the big Decath. All I'v done for the last 5 years is 1/3 scale or bigger kits so a ARF like this one was a joy. the only thing I would have changed if I had anything to say about it was to make the cowl just a smite bigger so I could have put my Saito 325 in it. But Hey I'm not beyond laying a cowl up if I get the time. Later. Roy

I have one on the way and I downloaded the manual. Pretty thin. Is there a better one included or when I see the plane it will be obvious where things go. The tail wheel set-up is confusing. Probabily me though.

It looks like the tailwheel bellcrank is the axle for the rudder also. How much throw can you get from the rudder? Could I get 45 degrees? The manual says try to get as much as possible but I'm wondering if the wire they used for the axle is stout enough to really handle 45 degrees with a lot of power behind it. They also mentioned 3D capability which I think is a stretch, but I'm really curious. The wire through the fin seems like it wouldn't allow for much strength if you started throwing the tail around. Maybe in a hover, but not for KE loops or even snaps.
Also, how much roll coupling is there with rudder input? I'm guessing a lot (more than my P40, anyway).
Joe

RE: TBM 93
You don't need 45 degrees of rudder throw. And if you're looking to do KE loops, maybe a Zero isn't the plane. It's an awesome flyer. I'm thinking even the USAAF when they got their hands on a Zero didn't hover one. Snaps... that it will do. And the liknage is more than strong enough in the rear end.

RE: TBM 93
Guys, I am not concerned about how the plane would have flown in the least bit. I am concerned about getting one that is not cracked and busted all to heck. I mean after 2 of them and it is getting worse, I think it is time to hang it up on this one. What sucks is I had high hopes for this plane. So, if any one out there needs a brand new G-62 never mounted or run with pitts muffler, Hitec 645MG's serovs, Hitec 5245MG Digitals, GI Joe Japanese pilot figure, TMB Zero spinner, email or PM me and maybe I will work out a deal with you. I bought everything from TMB for this plane that they recommend and it is all new and unused. Email is: [email protected]

I'm just reading all the "hype" on the TBM web site and trying to sift through what's real and what's not. Their P40 which I have had some issues but is a lot of fun to fly (in a scale like manner). It will be a while before I try anything stupid with that one.
Did anyone see that TBM was featured in this month's expose in the AMA mag? It seems pretty strange to me that Gene Payson doesn't pay anyone to have a presence on this web site like other manufacturers do. They seem to say that they have "sponsored pilots" but no one who really has experience and clout to support anyone.
