Ok, I need your help here. I am building the TF GS P-51. I am at the point of getting everything ready for sheeting the wing, one thing has been bothering me though. All of the rib centerlines on both wing panels line up perfectly with the centerline of the leading edge except for the wing tip ribs on both wing panels. I have done some reading about washout built into the wing could this be what I am looking at, or do I need to center up the wing tip rib centerline with the LE centerline or vice versa. Both wing tips are identical within 1/64 of an inch. I will try to up load the photos that I have to try and help illustrate what I am looking at. If the pictures load you will be looking at the wing as it sits on the dihedral jig blocks at the center of the wing. i.e. the wing is upside down, per the TF build plans. To try and explain it differently the LE is about 3/32 high, or the rib is 3/32 down when the wing is right side up. I hope this helps with the explanation of what you will hopefully be looking at. I am very confident the the wing panels are built straight and flat, especially since both sides are darn near identical. If I am wrong or you see or read something that I am missing please point it out, I am all ears!!!

Sorry to double post! If you need any more info please feel free to ask. I am here to learn from the knowledge on the forum. If you need more pics. let me know as well. Any photos of your sheeting experience with the TF GS P-51 would be much welcomed as well. Feel free to pm with any suggestions or questions you may have to help you answer the question I have pondered. Thanks in advance! Tony

Coops,
If all the tabs are correctly situated against your building board, your tip rib should be off center to the LE if it is straight. as you mentioned, once everything is trimmed and sanded, this will give you the washout you need.

Thanks US185. Makes me feel a bit better about the situation. Any other thoughts or opinions on the matter. Just want to be sure before I go and sheet the wing. Any other tips or suggestions for sheeting the TF GS P-51 wing are very welcome. Thanks. Tony
