Sure,

I have the same model (that I have flown the **** out of the last couple of years) and it flies great!

You will have to use an Y-connection cable on the ailerons as you need all 6 channels to operate the model.
I am not sure which mode you guys in Australia are using but here in Sweden the connection would look as follows:

Channel

1. Ailerons - 2 servos connected via an Y-connection cable
2. Elevator
3. Throttle
4. Rudder
5. Gear
6. Flaps

If you want to use a battery checker (not sure whats it's called in english) you can connect that to any available channel, for instance channel 7 if you are using the Hitec 8-channel reciever. If you only have 6 channels on your reciever you can use an Y-connection cable again on one of the channels. (Preferrably not the aileron channel..)

Sound easy enough, right?
