Default shooting back

has anyone out there tried to shoot paintballs from there plane?
Building a pair of ziroli f6f hellcats and I fly a lot on our frozen lakes
problem is all my other fisherman have become fond of shooting at my
planes with bb guns, This year I would like to shoot back

Any Ideas on self defense other than bomb drops??
I doubt ama would approve but
to make these guys scatter or repaint there ice shack would be perfect,

I do have a sig kadet that has lots of holes although I admit I do some slow flybys to get them going.

It would likely upgrade to shot guns after that.

So you antagonized them to begin with, and then want to retaliate.

I've never seen ice fishermen bring BB guns to fish with, or for any other reason. So I'm guessing your earlier flying gave them that stupid idea. And now you wish to match it and go one better.

You need to find another place to fly from. Flying from our snowcovered club field in Minnesnowta worked great. Better than off the lakes with their pressure ridges and sections of clear ice.

Consider that there are very probably a lot more of them than there is of you. They've got nothing to land and load into their vehicles when they decide to come visit you after you shoot at them. But you have a model to land and recover when they come after you. No, you really don't want to surprise them by splotching their shacks with puny little paintballs. Have you thought this stupid idea out?

Perhaps it would be a learning experience if you'd share your ideas with your local sheriff's office. I'm betting his office will explain your situation to you rather more clearly than you've thought it out.

No matter what he is doing they have no right to shoot at his plane. If they have a problem they need to file a complaint with the police or have a talk with him. Drop some bombs on them. I have a Ziroli hellcat and made scale bomb racks and bombs for it. Todd

Nevermind that paintballs don't break very well when they get cold. Might as well be shooting marbles, they'll do the same damage.

PH Mfg, eh? Maker of what, acid?

If your objective was to troll, your results were excellent.

Besides the jail, police and AMA...

The FAA is focusing to restrict the RC aircraft sector to a bare minimum. They even proposed no more turbine engine model aircraft - this is only one of many NEW restrictions proposed by the FAA.

With actions like "shooting back with paint balls" - you give the FAA just more reason to take action against us.

The RC community compared to the US in global is very tiny - and we have not one lobbyist , not one senator, not one congressman who speak up for the RC community.

So think again - before you attack someone with an remote controlled aircraft - go punch him in the eye at least that don't fall back on us.

Thank you

This subject has been tossed around in the past. I am going to close this one down as this subject is a hot button topic that does not need to be rehashed again. Thanks Dave
