I use a 24-12 Mejlik 3 blade on my planes with this engine. Pulls them great ! Paint them up with some flat black, add a prop decal.. look pretty good too.

Heres a 44 lb Ziroli Hellcat....

Hey Mike,

I pulled the spark plug which is brand new no carbon built up.... it was clean. I cleaned the magnetic sensors on the fly wheel with steel wool and alcohol to get the rust off. I then called Dick Bennett at bennett built and he told me its sounds like a misfire in the ignition and since it was one time and not a chain of them all at once not to worry about it. He also suggested 3 and 1 oil on the sensors to prevent future rust built up. I am not saying it was that, and neither did he but, he said it wasn't a bad idea to clean them anyway. He has new magneto ignitions for 30 dollars but he told me that the old one should be fine and he wouldn't replace so I didn't. I may make it hair leaner or richer depending on how it does next time........Overall the engine is doing way better than when I first got the plane. It was sagging and droping power and hard to tune. I have put a new fuel tank, all new lines and did the brass tube on the carb trick. Since those modifications.....its been pretty solid aside from what you saw. On another note that engine is really old. I bought this corsair a while back

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_52...tm.htm#5202272

without the saito radial and I am now finally getting around to put FPE 5.8 in it. I chose the FPE because Greg had one and it was super reliable and the weight is dead on to the saito radial...
I am a die hard corsair fan especially the ziroli. In addition to those two I am building another z-corsair now (here is the wing). I have a moki 150 to put it. I ordered mine with Greg's from troybuilt. Its because on me having shipped to my dad in NYC he saved the tax! Some graditude, he's still a jerky ....lol...

That should update you!

All the best,

Peter
