Default Clear coat

Just trying to get an idea of what you warbird modelers are using for clear coat. I have been using Krylon matt clear with some yellowing after many flights.

Lustercoat clear for a warbird I would recommend the flat finish , great product no yellowing and fuel proof up to 15% nitro

I've used Warbird colors clear coat and Nelson's clear coat. Both are water based and both use a cross linker to make them 15% nitro resistant. Neither one yellows, they both stay clear. They are NOT the same product but each works well.

I've always been a fan of the ppg paints and there clearcoats, the only area that ever yellows or gets darker is were the exhaust stains it.

I have used just about everything that has been said here except for the Warbird Colors. My favorite has always been automotive paint PPG and such. This was untill I tried Klasskote paint. It paints easier than any paint I have shot before. It is epoxy and is good for glow or gas. A friend told me about it and I figured I would give it a try and will use it now only. Infact giving my auto supplies to another friend since I will not need it anymore. By the way he knows all the colors AKA Model Master colors so I just tell him what I need and he mixes it for me very nice to deal with.
