Fly RC
You can probably still get the plans from Dave Platt, the kit from Precision cut kits and the gear from Sierra
There is a mod for the mounting rails for the gear.
Let us know if you need more info

I had a friend make these for the elevator control. The ends are bent depending on the plane I'm attaching them to. As you can see everything is internal. There is no control horn that exposed to the outer surface.

I have not had a chance to fly yet. The weather this weekend will be in the 70's. Snow on Monday. I'm trying to get my models ready to fly for the season so will not take the time yet to get out.
BTW, I had an accident with my T-28 last year. Came in to low, to slow etc. Had to rebuild the wing and horizontal stab. The fuselage remained intact.
How did the move go. I bet your enjoying the weather and taxes much more than the NE. I noticed you have not changed your location.

Sorry to hear about the Trojan. Move went great less than they quoted and the drive was only 3-1/2 days. Silly me I actually like the snow but Flagstaff is on 2-1/2 hours from here.
Taxes are $2,200 vs $14,000+ not complaining and my electric bill has been running between $89 and $100 for the last 3 months, we'll see what June, July and August are. Very strange here, the heat of the day on the east coast was between noon and one, here it's around 4PM.
Thank you again for the CD with the build pix they are extremely helpful.
Be well

Hey Gang,
Here's an update.
Vertical stab almost finished, rudder started and test fitting/filing fuse formers... finally some progress.
Got the elevator control arm made but will have to JB Weld the actual horn on as I can't find anyone to braze it for me.
Strange happenings here, 4+ hobby shops have been broken into in the last week or so, drones and electronics pilfered from each shop....
Weather has been exceptional here but 100+ is coming fast

Looking good my friend, I have a 1/5th scale Trojan as number 3 in the que. The designer passed away before I could get started. He was certainly a great guy to deal with just like "Charlie". Glad to hear the move went well - now you'll go from several feet of snow to 3 digit heat temperatures. Gotta love our wonderful country - something for everyone. Holding off work on the Avenger until I get something ready to fly this summer. Now that I am working with 1 and 3/4's of a hand, I want to get back in the saddle sort of speak. The $ - 19 awaits you Larry. Stay well. Chic

Chic,
glad the hands are getting back to normal.
as soon as I get my part time job I will send u the $$ for the 19 and I am toying with the idea of another P38.
Need to get back to the Avenger and get the gyro, pilot etc installed for the fall, I need to find a build buddy that has experience with gyros since we have so many servo connectors running through to the receiver.
BTW flying tallies sells a complete gun mount for the turret, not cheap but I saw one at the warm show, awesome
happy flying and don't forget you and Shirley have an open invite if your ever out this way.

Boyd,
Between visitors, doing grandkid stuff and getting the house set to the wife's mil specs there hasn't been all that much time.
The part time job is to pay for the hobbies so I don't have to hear the wife say "you took how much out of the bank"
My idea of part time is 20 hours a week, serves two purposes, I get $$ and out of her sight so she can talk to her friends back east and not bug me to try and see every tourist thing in and around Phoenix and Scottsdale before the year is out.

Hi guys,
Here are some pix of the slow progress I am making. I opted to make the air tank permanent rather than Boyd's idea of removable.
Boyd, when you said Dave didn't leave much room for the servos I didn't realize just how little there was from your pix, but I managed to get them in so they are removable.
