Ramstein44 01-19-2015 07:16 PM

Do we have to sheet the cowl or are you going to make a glass one for the production.. Need I say; add me to the list for this one!

fokke 01-19-2015 10:27 PM

Thanks guys
Ramstein , I think to cover the cowl skeleton with 1.5mm balsa , this method is new for me , as you know I work with epoxy. I don't know yet about glass cowl , I want to make all wood model except the canopy.

Cheers

So I pulled my old long table and began sticking to detail with glue.

For me the way of assembly of these structures differ slightly from the classical method of construction of shipway, because I think that enough is assembled model and takes a few points with which to catch on a flat surface and, ensure accuracy. First I fixate skeleton with cyanoacrylate glue so that it does not spill but to fix the detail that allows subsequently be adjusted in construction coated with slow glue which in this case is Time Express. After assembling the skeleton with cyan glue fix it on the counter and straighten all angles in the correct position only after everything I tripped and I am sure that everything is in the correct position to start slowly coated with glue Moment
Here it should stringers before placing the body to come off the counter.

I made a crash test. On the second film you can see that on the small piece have glue and wood residue from the horizontal plywood stringer. So I think that this glue work great in any situation http://www.warbirdforum.de/forum/ima...lies/smile.gif
The test I made before to glue all 5x5mm stringers !

Hi , I am ALMOST ready with wings to , I need to glue the 14mm stringers for landinggears and the composite bube, and servo plates

For the elevator I will make them "legs" and I will put one more stringer for biggger stability for 1/4 scale model

Cheers

Very much like the FW-190 but prefer the pugnacious "Anton" version. Would love to get one around 85 to 95" span.

Any good kits out there?

fokke 01-27-2015 10:28 PM

Yes I make this A8 in 1/5 and 1/4 scale

The 1/5 scale is 82,7 inches

The 1/4 scale is 100.3 inches

Peter_OZ 01-27-2015 11:32 PM

thank you. I am also looking at Meister scale as it has fiberglass fuse

wurger 01-28-2015 12:32 AM

Hi Fokke
Great work, I am committed to purchase when you commence selling. :-)
Incidentally, the "other" forum I view your work and comment appears to be dying (as I am the only one commenting on there :-( ).. so I will comment on here in future....
