Hi
This engine will be launched in January / Feburary of 2007, so not long to wait now. In November we should be posting the specs and price etc.
Best regards

Laurenne,
Was wondering about the pic of the 1.30CD on the site. Do you know if it will be similar to that design, with the crank vent nipple on top and what looks like a return line into the carb intake tube?.. This may be a very cool thing indeed. Have to admit the RCV motor is definately my messiest motor, would be nice to be able to alieviate some of the mess. lol Was actually thinking of doing that exact thing (return line to the carb.) on this new motor.
Thanks for the excellent service. This motor is a whole different animal compared to the other.

Hi Shane
At the moment, this is the planned design.
For your other CD series engines you can attach a fuel tube from the crankcase breather to the exhaust (but not the carb) to reduce any mess.
I hope this helps
Best regards

Hi Dave
There is progress but unfortunately it has taken us longer than expected. We are now looking for a Spring production (which means the engines SHOULD be available in May).
I am sorry for the delays, but I reckon the wait will certainly be worth it, they are great power packs!!!
Best regards

RCV Engines
I have a (Carl Goldberg) Tiger 120 ready for it’s Engine and I want to use your new RCV130-CD engine in it.
I understand that the RCV130-CD engine will be available in May.
Can I buy it at your Tulsa OK USA dealer?
The web site picture shows the throttle lever on the Left side of the Engine. Can the Carburetor be turned around so the throttle lever is on the Right side? And if so will it change/hurt reliability or performance?
Can you post your engine manual on your web site?

Hi Dave
There are delays with the RCV130CD and at the moment I couldn't promise you it will be available in May. I should have a better idea in the next couple of weeks. The user manual should be posted on the website in the next few weeks too.
With regard to the carb - yes it can be turned
Regards
Laurenne

RCV Engines,
As I have been anxiously awaiting for the arrival of this engine to the public, and have been constantly monitoring the proposed arrival dates, I was quite disappointed to see on your web site today that the "new" proposed date has now been pushed off (once again) for another 6 months to September 2007. What gives?? Would you be able to comment on what the continued developmental problems are centered around?? Laurenne, I realize that these problems are out of your control and you are just trying to keep us updated, but these types of continued huge delays are not building much confidence in a new engine for us consumers.
I'm not sure if you can (or are at liberty to) discuss what the delays are from but I think many of us would appreciate some information.
thanks for your time,
Steve

Hi Crazy8's
I completely understand your disappointment, and I can assure you it is of great disappointment to me as well.
This hasn't actually be caused by any ongoing issues, rather that the final design following changes wasn't finalised in January as I had believed. Instead, we were waiting on some external results before we could give the final go-ahead for production. This proved successful but delayed the final goahead until the end of Feb and our factory has a 3-4 month turnaround to take into account the casting changes.
In hindsight (if only!!) we should not even have mentioned the engine until the stage we are at now, however there was such interest in it. I do apologise for any inconvenience caused, but can say, that it is as a result of our commitment to providing the highest quality engine that any delays have occured.
Best regards
Laurenne

Hey Laurenne,
Thanks for the update to the situation. I had been wondering about that, if the announcement of this engine just came way too soon than it should have. I think I've been reading about this engine since last October. I realize that manufacturers do this at times to judge what kind of response and market they have for a new item but it can cause aggravation to consumers when they read about the latest and greatest new item "coming soon" only to have to wait 6 to 12 months later to actually have it available.
Thanks for responding, I appreciate the information and your candor over the situation.

So what you are saying is "soon" without using the word "soon"

Hi
I am pleased to advise you that the RCV130-CD has arrived. As you know we test each engine in the UK prior to despatch and are in the process of doing this at the moment. Due to the high demand we have a large number of back orders to fulfill we will be working through these over the next few weeks.
Kind regards
Stephanie

Well, these have been on the market for a little while now.
Are there any reviews / performance data out there?
Assuming it's a good engine, it should be a snazzy match for my new spitfire.
