Anyone know the lengths of the center 2 drive shafts. Looking to see if i can find universal ones instead of standard dogbones. Twisted one a bit. I know they are always measured in mm so might have to get out the calibers tonight and check them for length.</p>

I know this was wanting to check to see if any of the vorza or hot bodies ve8 parts fit. But they have different lengths and wonderin what the stock lengths are so i can try to match. Cause if i can get those to work ill be getting me a new Tekin motor and esc combo, or a viper esc and motor to toss in for the race season. Got a local autobody shop pitching in a little bit of bucks to put there name on the buggy. Love stickers.

I just odered a few extra from URC Hobby and when they bend I just put them in a vise and straighten them out. http://www.urchobby.com/proddetail.p...019&cat=81
I have been having one problem though the front pinion http://www.urchobby.com/proddetail.p...110&cat=81 has been wollowing out and I have had to replace a few times...... any suggestions. just very soft metal I guess.

Iknow HPI makes an upgrade drive cup, they have a few different sizes take on up to a lhs and see if they can get you one of them and see if that helps out. For the drive shafts URC site shows they are 87.5mm long so i may buy the hot bodies 90mm ones and see if i can get them to work. Hell might be getting a second job just for my tinkering on this but hell, this race season ill be running a redcat and damn proud to be.

Worst thing is when your at work and you get an email stating your parts are sitting on your doorstep and you cant leave to go and tinker. My new shocks, drive shafts( hope they work) carbon fiber plates and more stainless screws are sitting there. Plus its almost 60 degrees outside and rain all weekend. Will be a rush home kinda day. Ready for a race season to start .

Update, the shafts dont work. Carbon fiber is eating my scroll saw blades. So got to go to sears they have a stronger blade, hope to have them cut out by this weekend. Hada friend use his works cad machine to design new shock towers for me. Hopefully i get some time to myself this week. Would like to complete this buggy and post pics. Added pics of my velcro battery mod in on the other battery mod post. I posted some pics for you all to see. with the loss of the bars and added weight of the velcro i lost a few grams nothing to write home about, but save a ton of time changing batteries and no more clips.
