the adapter would plug into a tamiya plug on a charger and then into the deans plug of the lipos. no cutting or splicing required. it looks just like the one you linked.

i also have a question on c-rating. what does more c-rating mean? is it better to have a higher c-rating?

think of it like a facuet. the water is always under the same amount of pressure(like the same voltage) but depending on how much you open the tap changes the amount of water you get.(more amperage)
if you used a 2s 10c 3500mah lipo(dont, just an example) and then ran a 2s 30c 3500mah lipo you would notice a gain in the acceleration. the initial burst of energy that the higher c rated battery can put out increases performance.
and yes, higher is better. go for ones that say 30-40c.

actually i found out lifepo4 is only pretty much soft cases while hard cases are 80 bucks. i guess i will buy 2s lipos instead of starting with lifepo4.

okay thanks. but about charging lipos, when charging a lets say, 5000mah lipo, do you charge it at 5a? or do you charge according to the voltage of the battery?

It more so depends on your charger really. Like mine has a setting that if its overcharging a cell more than the next in balance mode it will drop the amp its is charging at. Hence why i spent 150 on a charger. I can charge my 4 batteries at once.
At 4a is about 36 to 40 minutes.

There is the link to the charger i purchased if you were wondering. There are seperate pieces for balance charging. I got 4 as i charge all mine before i head out ill run my first set of batteries, wait ten minutes for the buggy to cool off. Ill pop my second set in and start charging the two back up. I have a ac/dc converter for my truck and i use a table attachment i made for my trailer hitch to my vechicle. This way its charging on a surface away from my truck so that i can watch them from the track tower. If at home ill kill both sets and then let them charge while im cleaning the buggy and checking for lose or broken parts.

Purchased mine from Ebay. 149 and 27 dollars shipping. The thing is amazing. Read the manual. Tells you everything you need to know. As its does all types of batteries. I have some older on road hpi i found the other day. Thought i sold them but didnt, going charge the old nihm and see what happens, just got to get my soldering iron back from my brother. Deans connecters are also the way to go. Take some time to solder them when your first trying. Check youtube there are some great videos on how to solder them on.
