nope nothing...just the beep.
nope nothing...just the beep.
the beep from the ESC may indicate no throttle signal.
if you have any other reciever to test with, id do that 1st.
if you are sure you need a new ESC, i can get the 150amp ezrun ESC for $110 shipped.
that esc can handle upto 6s lipo power( a pair of 3s lipos in series)
so you could later upgrade the motor if you wanted to for even more power(the stock motor is only rated for 4s power)

cool ill try switching out the recievers tonight, thanks! I will let you know if I need to get an esc i would not mind bumping up the power on this a bit. it has been a super fun buggy though so far!

oh, you could also try re-binding the reciever to the radio.
i have had that happen once. esc stopped working, but it was the radio and reciever stopped communicating. i re-bind the rx to the radio and it worked fine again.

So the receiver is working properly. At closer inspection the wire from the esc to the receiver has a small cut in it. I think that may be the issue. I may try to cut that section out of the wires and reconnect them to see if that takes care of it. My question is though the batteries that I have as back ups are 40c's would that burn out the 80a esc? the stock batteries are 20c. Thanks!

upping the "C" rating of the lipos wont hurt the ESC. The power(amperage) that goes through the ESC is determined more by the load(motor draw)
the lipos having more amperage to "give" doesnt effect the ESC unless the ESC asks for more.
which wire going to the ESC is damaged? white, black or red?

black is that fixable do you think? I played with it last night just trying to pinch it to get it working and got nothing. I did test the reciever with another car and it worked great.
