Hey everyone, I recently purchased a new body for my Backdraft 8e. Thanks to some helpful forum members, I ordered the Illuzion - Hot Bodies Ve8 - Hi-Flow body from J Concepts.
I paid 25.00 (includes shipping) for it. Bought it on ebay. (yes I am an ebay addict, the 12 step program can start later)
It arrived yesterday via UPS. It came while I was at work and my wife set it next to my computer desk for me to see when I got home. I immediately opened the box and marvelled at this sweet looking buggy body. Thank you St33ve and Nitro for your help and stuff. Like my EarthQuake 8e to Backdraft 8e conversion, I am going to document this. Below
are some photos of the unboxing. This came with some nice decals and window masks. I am now off to trim the body. Enjoy the photos:

Yay!
Can't wait to see your paint job on that Illuzion!
And don't worry about the blue color, it's the protective film that is transparent blue.

Thanks St33ve. I already did the cutting and trimming. I'll leave the body mount holes for last. Anywho. I am gonna take the dremel tool to it and smooth some of the cut areas.
More pics to come, maybe today before I go to work.

Thanks, St33ve.
Those are Slicks. I bought them so I could run my buggy on the pavement. I umm.. baldened another set. LOL
I got them at a good price via ebay.
Here's a video I made today.

Mine are still holding, the buggy is now my backyard basher but when raced it held on fine. Makes turning on and off and checking temps simple and no dang clips to fuss with

It looks good, needs..... color. LOL
I have to admit, the Ve8 body fits like a glove.

Okay,
I taped up my body and have my color scheme set. I am going with red and black.
The red is actually called Revving Red from Testors and the Black is black gloss.
Here are some photos I took today after my first coat of red..
