don't order 06006 for the 4 drive shafts, the front and rear drive shafts are 80 mm long. I bought from both china and us I thought china screwed up, but no it is the part manual. DONT TRUST WHAT YOU CAN READ.
Just run em rip em [:'(] and then fix em[>:]

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
I took my 1/10 buggy to the track for the first time today. It just got done raining and the track was muddy with some puddles of water in some places. Well, this made my buggy get real messed up and totally covered with mud!! Within 60 seconds, my clutch spring broke, but I got it fixed in less than 5 minutes like usual. My new steering servo started going out on me after 5 minutes and would only turn about 10 degrees so I had to turn with the throttle mostly. After a couple of bad jumps, my front and rear aluminum boards that hold the shocks were bent. My rear one was bent so far that the rear wing holder was touching the engine!! I had to tighten up both universal joints that came lose, which made my buggy sit still while I could see all the gears moving......weird looking!! Next, got freaked out when my brakes didn't work while heading into a pile of wood and later found out that my brake linkage came loose. Then.....to end my crazy day, I hear a change in the noise of the engine, and realize that my manifold screws were completely gone and it was only being held on by the exhaust which was being held on by the tiny little wire pole!!
So, now I have to order the 28mm screws for the manifold, a new rear wing holder that snapped, and a single gear set/bell housing. []
It was fun times!!
Looks like it is back to my electric drift car until the new parts arrive!!
Oh yea......anyone know who sells the single gear Engine Gear Set for the one-speed buggy?? Topspeedtoys and Clermont only have the two speed!!

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
I assume its the same as the Himoto Syclone...in that case try http://www.exportpro.biz They have all that parts there, even though I now have a few broken parts due to the stupid radios they have on them...getting a DX2 next weekend though. Have to get a new clutch spring, new exhaust connector gasket, and see if I can get some screws from the LHS (one of the exhaust connector bolts fell out and grinded away the gasket so it was torn in pieces)
I sure hope with the DX2 I have no more damn run-aways from it...I was wondering when I was running it today why it always wanted to take off at high speed and the brakes weren't working too good...got back to my room and was spinning the tires (to get the steering connector out which broke from a run away) and head a ping-ping-ping. I was kinda like, dammit the spring is broken...

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
I hit the track with my Tornado XP for the first time today. I have a total of about 10 tanks of fuel in my entire nitro career, so it was a humbling experience.
First problem, running tires that are practically bald from screwing around on the pavement. The slightest bit of throttle sent the buggy into pirouettes in the dirt. Eventually I learned to idle around the track and made out okay. My day was finished when the car developed an intermittent tightness in the drivetrain while pushing it in the forward direction. I took it home and gave it a good blasting with the air hose and it went away. I wish I knew for sure what it was (the drive gears looked okay). While cleaning it I noticed a stuck front shock (odd, since I wasn't thrashing it that hard). Took the shock apart and straighted the shaft and all seems to be well again.
Lessons: I need traction, badly. A lower gear would be nice as even idling was going too fast around this tight track. More suspension travel would be good. Most of all I was amazed at the Revo trucks flying around the track and their drivers' obvious skill. These Tornados are fun starter cars, but clearly not up to any level of competition (not that we should expect them to be for the price). I'll have to see if new tires help. Anyone know if we can get wider / taller tires?

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
Hey guys, I was just wondering if you knew of any exhaust gaskets that I could pick up from my lhs. I was looking through towerhobbies site and I saw these [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXN376&P=ML]HPI[/link] gaskets. There were also these [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPD87&P=7]OFNA[/link] gaskets. Just wondering if either would work. Thanks.
