Because topspeedtoys is a dealer for the company. The dealers don't sell the cars at msrp, which is the price listed on the redcat site. They can sell them for less.

If you have the money to spend go with the pro. All those aluminum parts make it a tank. It won't break as often and you can bash even harder with it.
The Sv is also a great choice if you don't want to spend all that extra money. If you were to upgrade the steering arms with aluminum ones on the SV I think you'd be in pretty good shape too.

I thought you already had a post on what to get? Oh well yeah you said you only wanted to spend 250 or less so i guess the SV is well under your price range, but if you want a better car which will not break as many parts get the SV pro. Its 250 but its well worth it. Also you will end up spending about 40 bucks on a starter kit and a gallon of gas so...yeah.

No prob. I would go with the sv too just because of the price, It's also your first car so there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars when you might end up getting something completely different later on.

Yes, i have heard of them, but nothing more. I've never taken the time to learn about them so i dont know what kinds of problems they have. Other people on the forum might be better in this aspect, so ill let them take over.

kyosho are a better nitro but they are also alot more money, be prepared to spend over $300 for a kyosho off road if not more. my onroad fwo5 cost me over $300 so i am sure you are looking at over $300. if you want to know more about kyosho go to the kyosho thread. get the volcano stx or sv, i like my stx, just buy a couple of spur gears for it.

Just so you know, Redcat sells stuff at MSRP because they don't want to price Redcat dealers out of business. Same reason if you buy a Savage through HPI it's gonna cost $800, but if you get it at Tower it's $420.
