i have a volcano sv and i just replaced the spur gear. when i put everything back together i left the slipper nut to loose. Now after taking everything back apart i want to know how tight to make it. i have it right now where i put a wrench on the slipper nut and turned the aluminum gear until i could no longer turn it. is this too tight. if it is can anyone give me a suggestion on how much to loosen it. IE a 1/2 turn. I REALLY want to run my truck, i have not been able to run since 12-29!

Yes, tightened down snug is perfect. Don't over do it. Some slip is good, but not so much that it melts the slipper discs to the spur gear or gets traction at really high RPM. Some racers like it to slip a bit and grab in the high RPMs, but I like instant power, and most other bashers do too.
Also, you do not need to take ANYTHING apart to adjust the slipper nut. Just get an average open-end 14mm wrench and stick a flathead screwdriver in the teeth to prevent the gear from turning and tighten/loosen the nut.
