Actually that looks like it may ... not sure about the internals of that pullstart, the one way opening, etc.

Why would you want the shell out that much for a pullstart when you can get the HPI one for much less? I have it installed and love it!!! It works much better than the stock one, and appears to me to be made better.

yes it is a direct fit, you may have to put a washer behind each screw, i did on one redcat but not the other.

a flat washer, behind the pullstart, on one it was too close and the starter wouldnt retract, on the other it is fine and i didnt have to do anything

Actually fixing the pullstart is easy you just need to wind up the spring and the cord. PLace the wond up spring in the housing that has the pull cord with the hook over the catch. Then place the cord housing in the main housing. Use needle nose pliers to add the tention to the spring. I had to do it today I can make some photos if anybpdy is intrested. My question is what size screws do I use to mount it back to the engine.

It's pointless once it pops out and unwinds, it won't be any thing but trouble from there on out.

I totally agree, although I was able to repair mine ... it was more of a POS afterwards so I replaced it with the HPI Nitro Star one and it works better than new now I did keep the stock one as a spare though.
