Yea chopper I'd get some threadlock asap. Im pretty new to the sport as well and have learned very quickly that if theres a screw somewhere, it needs to have threadlock on it. Get the Blue threadlock not the Red. The red is permanent and could make you have a bad day if you need to get the screws out. and as far as tuning goes, there are some other really good threads in this forum that helped me out. Good luck to you man.

what happens is it starts fine and will run good for 2 to 3 min then the backplate get losse and it gets warm and all kinds of oil dumps out of the backplate and it starts to lose power and finaly it will just stall when i hit the gas befor the back plate was getting lose it never got hot and it would run great right now i have been running it a lot at night and it has been nice and cool outside with low humidity and 55 outside and 20 to 40% humidity thats the only time i realy get time to play with it

put the backplate screws back in with blue locktite and you should be fine. it sucks in air as it comes loose and the engine is leaning itself out thats why it runs hot. once you seal the backplate you will be fine.\

yeah get some blue crv sealant and use some blue thread lock and do it ASAP. That should fix ya up. Hopefully no damage has been done but if you allow that to continue you can dirt sucked in. And Michael be dam careful of red threadloc hey! I have had mega problems removing screws and I have stopped using it.

ok i got it all taken care of and i check for air leaks none now i have a new problem. i tryed running it today when it was a bit hot outside around 85 to 90 and it hated it i riched it up and it climed to 250 in a matter of 3 min. but last night i ran it when it was nice and cool out mabey 50 outside and it never got over 200 and it ran like a charm but with this warm weather it wanted nothing to do with it
i know i do need to get a new glow plug the one i have is looking a little used up could that be one of my problems and if so what do u guy say is the best glow plug for this engine i use 30% nitro 12 % oil should i be buying a higher oil content fule or use a lower nitro contant fule also i had somthing really wired happen to me yesterday while i was trying to tune it for the day the glog plug popped right out but i checked the threds on the plug and the head and they where al right so im guessing it just got lose and poped off it ran fine when i put my old plug back on it later that night

Good ol trial and error huh? haha. Everyone on this forum will recommend the os A3 glow plug. its a hotter burning plug and it works great man. They're like 4 bucks at your lhs. As far as your fuel goes, im not sure. I run 20% nitro and 12% oil and have never had a problem. I guess if you're gonna stick with that fuel just keep it little more on the rich side, low and high speed needles.
