Default Time to tune?

Anybody in Louisville KY feel like tuning a Hurricane XP? Sounds lazy, I know, lol. Too much work and no time to play. I'm new to the area and don't know of any shops that would/could. I miss my baby []

Thanks ehroof... I'm gonna watch those at the airport this afternoon. Probably would be more helpful if I could have my Hurricane there though. I had her runnin' perfect about a month ago. Then I started up and all of a sudden she was acting as if there was too much gas flooding in durring accelerations. Next thing I know, I can start her up and idle for a long period of time, but stall after just feathering the throttle. Full throttle would stall imediately. I'll have to take some time and watchthose videos. I miss just starting up and running for an hour or so, lol.

Thanks,

Rider

your welcome bro, changes in temprature and humidity can change the tune of an engine.

Those vids are very helpful.

I hope you do know that fuel can go bad if it sits too long.

The fuel I'm using might be 5 weeks old by now. But when the probs started happening... it was only a week old at most.

nah thats fresh. It would definately be tuning I'd say. You guys are going into Summer so a lot can happen in a couple of weeks weather wise. Having said that, some engines are so sensitive to atmospheric conditions that they can go out of tune really really quickly.

Hmmm... tragic day for the Hurricane. Everything went well for about 2 minutes. Anyone have experience with RedCat's engine exhange program???

Broken piston arm. It looks like it was torn apart by the gremlin that lived inside engine... it ain't pretty, lol. Anyone want to buy a fairly new Hurricane XP (j/k (maybe)). New body, rims and tires... sans engine. It was fast and only had about 6 hours of run time. I don't think I should have run into this problem so soon. Oh well. How well does RedCat (Himoto) stand behind their product?

broken connecting rod... usually fails if the engine is flooded and turned over to a point where it "hydraulics" and lock up the engine, something has to give.

Redcat offers lifetime engine replacemant at half price, no qusetion asked, with the exchange of your engine.
