hey, heres my problem.. I went to start my volcano sv but gas isn't being sucked from the gas tank. I do know the gas tank/fuel line isnt cloged,or the exhaut pipe. so im guessing the carburetor is cloged..any ideas what migth be the problem before i take this thing appart?[&o]

if you blow on the line that goes into exhaust pipe does fuel travel through other line into carb the carbs are so small unless you are running without an air filter I dont think your carb is clogged you may have a massive air leak somewere so try blowing with your mouth first and see what happens

yes i do use an air filter with airfilter oil on it.. i did suck on the line that goes into the carb and the fuel came through easily.. but ill try what u said to do tomrow.

DON'T suck on that line. Blow on the line that comes off the exhaust to the tank. Your trying to pressurize the gas tank. Id look at the gas cap.. ill bet is passing air and not allowing the tank to pressurize.

ya lol i didnt suck any up luckily.. but i tried what bluecacka said to do, and gas does come out the other end when u blow in it. I also noticed if i put my finger on the line that goes to the carb, when i blow on the exhaust line no air leaks from it..so im prety sure its not a prob with the gas tank.

Do you have to blow prety hard for fuel to come out or just lightly, you shouldn't have to blow hard, if you had to blow harder than just a small puff then you probablly have a clogged fuel line behind the nipple. Some times when they thread in the fuel line nipple it pushes some plastic behind there and it's just enough that it isn't letting enough fuel move to the carb.

Is the High speed needle up or all the way down? Matter of fact if you disconnect the fuel line from the carb and leave the exhaust pressure line hooked up, then put your finger over the stinger and pull the cord does fuel move through the fuel line that way?

Check your exhauste and see if it is sealed I have had major problems with mine. The manifold to engine gaske kept blowing till I made a spacer out of aluminum to make up for the improper machineing.
