Default Universal Dogbones?

OK guys what are the pros of using the universal dogbones on a volcano?? I understand that they are less likely to come out but i have not had that problem. Is that the only advantage?

they are good because they have better movement so there is less "friction" but they can break at the joint.

Does anyone have good pictures of the redcat CVDs? They look more like a universal joint than the customary CVDs you see on most RCs. I would be curious to know how they designed them and how they compare to the more commonly seen design.
