bro, the a3 is a hot plug, no matter what nitro you use, its still a hot plug.

those novarossi plugs arent correct either, they dont even use that plug system numbering system

it depends on the temp outside and how the engine is running, i have run the a3 with 30%, you just need to richen the needle a little to keep the temps down. i wouldnt run an a3 in a .28 with 30%, but i would in a .18 or smaller.

Its just a rough idea. For example, I have to run the p3 which is ultra hot turbo plug .. in my radical 21.

Yeah, confusing indeed! Last time I went to my LHS for a couple of OS8 spares the 2 guys manning the car counter told me to try a "thunderbolt". They said they use them in all their personal cars, and they were actually cheaper than the OS'. I did buy a couple and havent had an ounce of trouble. Thunderbolt 115545 is what it says on the package... trying to find details online and all I come up with is it's the "heavy duty" version.

All I know is that it works and is inexpensive...

the 1/10 come with the 3 plug (hot)

the 1/8 come with the medium plug (sh)

got the ultrawide today and check the plug and have the monsoon sitting for 3 months waiting for break in and checked that out.

i know this is a little off topic for this thread but my lhs sold me a os lc3 plug for my volcano sv. that is a longer plug right? will that hit my piston? or will it change the compression? i also found out that there is one hobbytown that actually is a redcat dealer they have parts and vehicles in stock. but redcats site don't list them as a dealer. i thought it was pretty cool. the guys there said that in the last 2 weeks they haven't sold any ofna's or traxxas. but they did sell 5 volcanos 3 tornados and 2 lightnings. they said they were nervous about redcat at first but after seeing how they were built they push them as perfect entry level rc

So if I use a colder plug, does that mean I can lower my running temps? My temps are too high on my 1/16 nitro's. I was at HobbyTown USA today and I picked up two HPI Power Plug #1504 Cold-R5 plugs. When winter gets here, will I have to switch to a medium hot plug? I'm clueless when it comes to selecting bewteen thousands of different plug types.[X(]
