Hi every body. I was working on breaking in my Volcano SV Pro and the hup pack battery in the truck wasnt holding a charge. Anyway the throttle stuck and the truck hit a concrete block and bent a shock. Can the shocks be rebuilt? Where can I order the parts? This is killing me I dying to run it but keep having bad luck. Now I'm in Germany and I'm limited to one place to get parts locally which is 2 hours away. Are there other brands of parts that are compatable to rebuild the shocks.

small lil mods are needed.. you need topick up some 3mmx20mm Screws from your LHS.... and the rest of the mod parts come with the shocks...like the Spacers.

I have bent a few shocks-bent my new Tsunami's the second run out-So as I waited for new ones to arrive I went and straightened out the bent ones.Did it work-to my shock=YES it did. They are straight and do not leak and work perfect
Here is what I did:
Remove the bent shock-did not take any of them apart
Extend it all the way
Wraped electric tape around a set of Vice Grip needle nose pliers(so as not to mar the rod)-install right above the bend
Took another set of pliers, wrapped tape around the jaws and went just below the bend and make the shock rod straight
I took my time-looked-bent a tad more-etc

anyone remember the Redneck fix for a shock that was done a few months ago?

How I fixed my shock and rod while waiting on new parts
First off you have to find a bolt small enough to fit inside of the shock with 2 nuts that fit it, one with threads to the bottom of the bolt, second drill a hole in a penny if you dont have the right washer, third find a small piece of metal to bend in half and drill 1 hole in each bend, fourth take apart the shock and drill a hole to the size of your bolt in the bottom of your canister, insert bolt into shock canister threaded part first, put your shock back together, then you put the spring back onto the shock, holding back the spring, screw on one nut then put the penny on it, then put your angled piece of metal that you have drilled and cut on it, then the other nut, and adjust tension with the nuts and tighten them.
This is how we southern boys fix things [sm=bananahead.gif]

hey thanks for the info. yeah.... on trying to strieghten it... I broke the eyelet on the end of the shock right at the threads. [&o] Ooops. I was considdering replacing the shaft but at the same time i don't know the spec of the original one ( length, threads, diameter)
Oh also about the hump pack i mentioned earlier. the shop closest to me doesnt have them. how hard is it to make one? they have all the stuff to make them. or are there any other options. i think the Volcano SV just runs 4 AA's. will this also work? for the SV PRO?
