Default drill start questions

I''m tired of dealing with the pull start and im gonna get a drill start, but before that i need to ask a question or 2..........or maybe 3, i dunno. when do the drill starters come back in stock? what do i need to get it turning? will a 1/4 inch backplate work on the vertex .16?

thanks, Daniel

I use a cordless drill to start my buggies...I just knocked out the pin on the end of the wand that goes in the drill and it works great...

lol MAN i use a cordless drill for my rotostart and it is 750rpm and i found it is not fas enough... i tryed and prove my point... i threw my engine into my vice and tryed to start it with the plactic rotostart part on it... (geared part) and i had no luck... i took it off and had the 1 way bering and got a drill bit that would fit a 6mm hex (one for a rattchet) and it started up right away! so i will be geting the hpi rotostart 2 just wand one...

I dont know what yall are doing....I use a cheap black and decker drill from walmart to start 2 different sh.28s' and it cranks em over with ease...unless you have some hug engines with alotta compression...

no the drill that you are using probably has alot of speed and not as much torque while the other drills have alot of torque but not enough speed to start the engines
