Sounds like it's too lean, hence the need for putting fuel right in the motor. You might need to adjust the idle mixture, which you might not realize even exists. It's the small screw which sits flush in the middle of the carb barrel, just under the little arm (still on the carb barrel) that the servo rod attaches to.
It might also be that your glowplug is shot, and it takes 3s for the glowstarter to get vibrated off the plug
so then it dies.
Check your fuel lines, you might have a hairline split in them, or a blockage. Watch for air bubbles in the fuel line to the carb - there basically shouldn't be any (some will be inevitable as the fuel gets shook up)

You need to set it back to factory settigns and start from there. You set the HSP 2.5 to 3 turns out from seat. You set the LSP flush with the collar. Set a 1mm gap for the idle screw about the size of the tip of a tooth pick. Then you can start tuning. WHen the weather changes you MUST re-tune the engine.

Do you have compression? With the glowplug in, if you pull the pull-start slowly then the motor should turn freely for most of a revolution (that's perhaps 6" worth of pull? I've never really paid attention) but then for the last part of the revolution (at TDC) it should get really quite stiff, and then it will finally pop past TDC and move really freely again.
It might also be your idle gap is too small.
Does the highspeed needle assembly move around at all? including the nipple where the fuel hose is attached? (It shouldn't, and is probably leaking air if it does.)
Your fuel tank might be cracked so you have no pressure.
Is your Tornado engine running ok?

Do you have a hobby store near by that could maybe help you out?
If you want pop me an email or PM, maybe you could send us the engine and we could check it out for you. You might only need a sleeve pinch or maybe just something simple on your car. Like you have an air leak in the fuel system or something like that.
