Default high flow air filter

awhile back. someone posted about getting high flow air filter.
well, i bought a generic k&n style filter for my volcano, but it is WAY too big.
I made a mistake and got it thinking that it would fit my vx carb. well, this filter is huge, the boot that connects to the carb is about 14-18 mm in diameter. It must be for an 1:8 scale engine.
so, i bought a motorsaver filter today.
Are the motorsaver filters high flow / low restriction ?
the stock air filter on my volcano seems to be very restrictive.
I already have a pipe and header in it, which will help on the exhaust side. but, on the intake side, the stock filter would pretty much defeat the header and pipe in my opinion.
low restriction / high flow air in, low restriction exhaust out means more power.
how much more power ? i have no idea, but the motorsaver has to be better than the stock filter.

Amen on the motor saver, as for the power change it can be slight in some cases but over all its getting the right combination. The VX is a good little engine but you will be able to get more information for your hop ups when you get into SH and OS engines. Just because there are so many people out there hopping them up Good luck

yeah i'm not expecting a huge power gain....actually, i dont think the gain will even be noticeable.
but, at least i know that i'll have a good filter that breathes.

The thing you will probably notice is the run time gets longer
