RE: what do i do
ganja - that's cool, thanks and I am sure I will be too, they weren't hard to wire up?
ehroof - I would, but I am just a little concerned about that since there is a flange at the end of the header (kinda visible in this pic) http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/pa.../86037_01m.jpg Edit was to add a better image from HPI's site But that is a good idea, and I may explore that more if I cannot re-position it better with the securing wire - Thanks |

RE: what do i do
Is it now? Shows for me?

RE: what do i do
I see the pic.. If 02027 will still fit over and is snug(with the wire ties) that shouldn't hurt. Unless after the taper, it gets that much smaller.

RE: what do i do
Pics up know and just a little hint there in a mod that you can do
This first mod is very simple and easy. What you do is cut the tip of your stock header off using a cutting wheel. Not to much only about 3/8ths of an inch. What this does is helps reduce the chance of your revo header being bent. This was first done by a few members over on traxxas forums. Another benefit you will receive is the increased performance on the low end performance of your motor. Below you will see a stock header on the left and a cut header on the right. http://www.rcbros.com/forum/aspjpeg_...bro/rc_538.jpg |
RE: what do i do

RE: what do i do
Cool, do it mini, it will work you only need to take off 1/4 in. the most.

Hopefully I can do this once I get home from work this evening ... I will reply letting everyone know and hope that this wasn't a hijacking of this thread. Thanks again to each of you!!! |

RE: what do i do
Who, what, where, huh?
I'm ughhh .... on a break ;) guess it's a perk to being the "IT Guy" Thank you, and I will definitely post up once I get the ole cutoff wheel out ... just need to find a volunteer to hold the header piece [>:] |
RE: what do i do
LOL somebody copy and paste his thread so we can blackmail him later with his boss:D
Better find someone that really trust you i would hate to have blood all over that nice new header LOL Just use a vice but put the header in a hand towel so you dont scratch it |
RE: what do i do
ROFLMAO! [sm=lol.gif]
And thanks, I will be sure and wrap it so it doesn't get scratched either. |
RE: what do i do
if this is a hijacking, whats the ransom?!?!?!!?! LOL
|
RE: what do i do
Big thanks to ehroof and bluecaka69 and clermont!!!
Got home, removed the header which is a PIA without pulling the engine to get a screwdriver on the rear screw, but clamped it down, fired up the compressor and took the cutoff wheel to it and zipppp cut it 1/4" shorter. Took my time to smooth it inside and out, blew it out with air, and even cleaned with a pipe cleaner. Fastened it back up and wallah ... now the pipe clears so much easier. Big thank you again ... hats off to you guys!!! As soon as we have some warmer weather and I can take my truck outside for more than a couple min, I will get some good video :D Now, back to the subject at hand ... what is ganja gonna do??? |

i finally got the shock springs i needed, i went to my LHS and checked hrough all sorts of differen springs, turns out the best ones that would fit my application were off of a traxxas bandit http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJE63&P=7
they fit perfectly so i used them for the front , he only had 4 of the bandit springs so for now ill leave the back with the stock integy springs, ill order the other fou online, i might end up just leaving the rear stiffer though if it doesnt affect the performance.thanks for the concern mini:Dheres a before and after |
RE: what do i do
