What I think the zip ties are for on the head is when the thing rolls over it don't scratch up the head ? I could be wrong, but it really sounds like a good ideal which I'm going to do :D

I already have the manifold in the mail
does it improve performance?
and if so how

it lets the exhaust flow free'er. a better flowing exhaust gives more power :D

more power is a good thing[>:]

hey ehroof, y in that pic do u hav zipties on the heatsink?

its so in a roll over, hopefully the zip ties will get the damage instead of the cooling head.

what electric motor can i use for a winch? im running a seperate electrical sysytem for the winch, to use with a different controller. i need to find a really cheap electric motor thats still strong enough to use. any suggestions?

get a stock 540 motor, there pretty cheap, how big does it have to be?

kutzie1793 01-24-2008 05:05 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

small enough i can mount the motor and spool on the front of the bumper, without being so big it looks awful

ehroof 01-24-2008 05:06 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

what do you want to pull with it?

kutzie1793 01-24-2008 05:08 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

my first upgrade was a tuned pipe and aluminum bodymounts
i needed the aluminums because i flipped en cement going about 40 mph without the body and it shaved the plastic ones to smitherenes

Would the volcano sv be a better basher than the volcano epx because it has upper and lower arms and the epx only have lower.

how many tooth is the stock clutchbell and spur gear on the volcano

ehroof 01-24-2008 09:26 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

clutch bell is 17 tooth, i dont know about the spur, never counted, lol

TNIGS 01-24-2008 10:01 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

oh. thats the same as the first gear on the tornado clutch bell. maybe ill put the volcano tires on it with the adjustment scew on the spur scewed all the way in so it dosent shift.

TNIGS 01-24-2008 10:03 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

oh one more thing. is the volcano like the tornado's 2 speed but just with one gear or dose it have a transmision. i was lookin at my freinds eceed truck and it looked like it had a trany in it/

ehroof 01-24-2008 10:13 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

it has a trans, gear reduction in the trans, a few differnt gears, not a direct drive

ehroof 01-24-2008 10:47 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

yes, 4146x spring will fit, the shoes are a little small and take a while to engage

jrags 01-24-2008 11:02 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
