turn the 2 tuning needles counter clockwise a 1/2 turn each.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

is that the gas and the air mix needles?
and also the turning radius is not that impressive is that normal or is the turning no so good on this truck(volcano)

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

there are 2 needles, a high and low, the high is the one that sticks out and up(where the fuel goes in) and the low is on the side of the carb where the linkage hooks up to the carb, its a flat head screw inside of the throttle arm. they are the mixture needles.

4 wheel drive doesnt have the greatest turning radius. what radio do you have?

jaybird84 01-23-2008 10:35 AM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

the stock radio that comes with it not sure its not infront of me do radios make big differences

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

if its a digital radio or another radio there is an epa setting that sets how far the servo will turn, it can limit the amount of steering you have.

ehroof will respond to this and i have a question for him:
what does it feel like being R/C Jesus [sm=angel_smile.gif] and helping helpless r/c noobs?

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

1. i dont have that one but i would think it is so you can charge it without removing or disconnecting it.
2. it is possible but when you turn one wheel does the the one on the opposite side turn? if so, your ok dont worry about it. how do you know only one side it pulling?

3. it makes me happy to be able to help others, i dont know about the jesus part, lol.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

if i hold the car when its not running and spin a tire with my hank the other one will thur the opisire way
if i spin the drive shaft thay will both spon the same direction
BUT whin i run the car sometimes it flips and only one wheel will spin
the other will stand still

ehroof 01-23-2008 09:19 PM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

thats normal, its limited slip, maybe you have the wheel nut a little tighter than the other or the bearings may be a little worn on that side more than the other so the wheel with less resistance will spin before the other one, dont worry about that, its normal.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

WHERE is the problem?
is it in the differencial?
or is the wheel just not meeting/connection to the hex?
does it effect speed?
how do i fix it?
if i replace this
http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...p?partno=02024
will they both have drive again?

Macanan 01-23-2008 09:56 PM

is it ok to paint the springs on the shock?

Macanan 01-24-2008 06:49 AM

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

I dont see how it would hurt them if you did, I would if mine where needing painting, you know they make cover for the shocks don't you ? they cover the shocks completely, also what some people do is buy balloons and cut them to the right lengths to cover the shocks.
