Default funkey mechanics??

Hi all,
I have been thinking about building an Airwolf, 50 size.
I have had a look around and the Century/funkey one looks interesting.
Have you any recomendations as to which mechanics to use with this airframe?
Is the Century the best option, I mean, have the formers etc. been designed around these mechanics?
I have a Raptor Titan but want to keep this for aerobatics, and the collective arm looks like it would get in the way anyway.
I have never built a scale heli so please start from the assumption that I know nothing, and even then please take it slow.
On the plus side I built the Titan and I have 18 years fixed wing behind me.

Any and all suggestions/advice is most welcome, and thank you all.

They have combos where the Century mechanics drop right in those bodies.

Also Traplet just released a book by Peter Wales on scale helicopter building. I have it here for review but havent had a chance to get started on it yet.

Thanks BH,
Any idea which Century mechanics are used?? Hawk, Swift? etc.
Are spare parts an issue here or are they well catered for?

Thanks again,

Not sure, honestly I dont mess with Century stuff much though Funkey bodies are very nice. Parts are in decent supply over here, not sure about Europe.

Raptor 50 fits fine in the Funkey fuse, the pitch arm does not touch, the Titan will only fit if you use the shorter tail boom of a standard raptor 50 and the 600mm blades.

Saying that I am changing mine over to a Trex 600n.

Check out LHC website http://www.lhc-rc.com/acatalog/Airwolf_fuselages.html

The Century scale mehanics that are used in the 50 size Airwolf, Bell 222 etc are much like those in the Kinetic 50 that they make for Hobbico (basically a Hawk Pro 50 with a beefed up rotor head and longer boom). These have proven to be very good and reliable mechanics for their scalers for years.

The most fiddly part of the build are the retracts which are not all that difficult at all.
