With airplanes, the trend has been "larger and larger" for many years. Huge r/c airplanes are very common, especially ARFs.
Is there such a thing as a "Giant Scale" r/c helicopter? The .90 size is about the largest that I commonly see, and I've run across one large (Century, I think) gasoline powered model.
Are there other gasoline powered (and assumably larger) helis than the Century?
What are some of the largest "scale" helis available?
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide-

Tony,
There's a guy in Austria named Martin Sollner that does 3 meter (rotor span) helis. www.scale-heli.at
Vario also does some pretty big stuff, and has a 1/4 scale jet ranger (mine is ~1/7th), and a large turbine Lama, both with 2.5 meter rotorspans.
If you're at the meeting on Wed, I'll talk to you there, or just give me a call.
Chris

YAMAHA makes heli's but for a million $ or so. It is designated like the "R1" something motorcyle like... M.I.T. University has one or two used for crop dusting the fields.... just google" yamaha heli". It carries 40 lbs of fertilizer i think, and is automated to run its own self correcting course! Its on youtube videos if you like to check it out. Expensive but sweet.
