RE: Pitts M12 26% plans available soon
Hi Everyone!
I am pleased to announce today that we are slashing the price of the Spirit of Pitts from $224.99 to $199.99! And even better, if you order before the end of May, the price is just $179.99! So if you feel like saving $45 on the short kit, now is the time. These savings are coming from improvements to how we produce the kit, but the overall kit has remained the same quality that you have come to expect. The turnaround time is expected to be one week from order to shipment.
The pricing is available now on the website: [link=http://www.gundersonaerodesign.com/products/shortkits/burton]Spirit of Pitts webpage[/link]
Another new item is that we added the ability to accept international orders directly through our shopping cart!
Let the building begin!

We have now distributed over 1000 free copies of the plans - that's a lot of builders, so let's see some more build photos and videos!

Highfly2, is that meant to be a static or flyable model? If rc controlled you are building waaaaaaaaaay too heavy. At that size you should mainly use balsa, carbon plates if you can afford it and balsa plywood, you should use the plywood only for specific places like landing gear support and firewall..and certainly no need for 3mm for that size either. Dont want to disencourage you but that will end up like a brick...

Hi Petronio
The little Modell is only a static Modell and a little joke
The 3mm and 6mm Plywood is for the RC Pitts Modell with 175cm Wingspan.
Greets from your old home (from where in Swizzerland you come?)

RE: Pitts M12 26% plans available soon
Hi, to all of you guys following this thread.
My name is Sasha and I`m from Montenegro, where RC community is limited to a dozen people.
First of all, I would like to thank to people from "Gunderson Aero Design" for sending the plans.
The moment I saw this plane at my local forum, ( rcfly4um.org ) I was in love with it.
As I never built anything before, I asked an old friend Bato for help, and the build started soon.
We got here after few months:
As you can see, cowl is made from glass fiber, and canopy is trimmed to fit from Yak 54 (extreme flight 88`)
Everything is going smooth at the moment. Engine will be DLE55, servos are ino-lab, and I will try to make my own resonator.
I have a question:
As you can see, I made wing ends from foam, and each added 3 inches of extra wingspan.
What do you think, should I do with a tail now, should I make it larger or live it like that?
(I don't have intentions to fly 3D)
Regards from Montenegro!

@Petronio: Ke Problem , ha ja jetzt ou verspätig :-). Wie lang läbsch Du jetzt in... Ja, wo überhoupt?
Assembled Provisionally:
And Now in English :
Now there is no turning back, now I have the plywood cut up into many small parts, whichshould result in the end a plane.
The Saw doing a terrific service and eats through the glued wood, such asthrough butter.
Meanwhile, is also very clear why the model on a nice level surface should be built, asare attached to the Balsawoodstrips, the Plane in very unstable and can be movedeasily.
(Oh, i hope you understand my terrible English)

RE: Pitts M12 26% plans available soon
Hello everyone. I just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that I have decided to close Gunderson AeroDesign effective immediately due to severe limitations on time and balancing work, family, and my entrepreneurial pursuits. Thanks to all for your support over the years! The website has been taken down and we will no longer be distributing the plans for the Pitts.
There are a lot of plans already out there, so I hope to still see some beautiful airplanes coming from the readers of this thread in the future.
Thanks,
Rich

Looks like i found this forum a few days too late to get a copy of the Pitts planes from Rich[]
If there are 1000 copies of the plan out there perhaps i might get lucky and someone would be kind enough to forward a copy to me?
PM me and I'll send my email.
thanks

Rich, just out of curiosity, what is the status on the the plastic and glass parts that you had in the kits? Are they still going to be available or are you sold out and done?

Hi,
just to inform you that my baby is airborne
Maiden flight was two days ago, and all I can say is - wow!
This plane is gorgeous in the air.
I had a few issues that would hopefully be resolved in incoming days such as throttle screw that fell of because I forgot to put locktite, main gear that is too weak, and the most important CG - plane is tail-heavy.
Other than this it`s a beauty.
Cowl was off because I thought that my RCG 50 would need some adjustments, but I was wrong - it works like a charm.
Here is a video and a few pictures.
