RE: my cnc
hey hpghost,
Awesome work on your machine. I bet those ballscrews are very nice. For your graphite try some fishtail routers or the type dremel sells for cutting cermic tiles. They work great.
I have quite a bit of info on cnc stuff also on my site www.cuttingedgecnc.com
Great looking website too, I liked the vids. Lets exchange links.
keep it up.

RE: my cnc
here is a little precision test I made:
here is the precsion tes done on a 2mm thick carbon fiber plate.
I cut a 20x20mm square (programmed with 0.01 precision parameter) on which there is 4 holes (1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm) each centered on its quarter part (center at 5mm from border).
cutting as been done at 400mm/min with 2.5mm deep, one pass, with a 1/32" diamond cutter.
the result is:
dimension of borders: 2.05<x<2.10mm
distance from border of the hole: 3mm
size of the 4mm hole: 3.9mm (not easy to mesure with this tool...).
so, lets say that precision is a least 0.1mm
pics are on my site in cnc section.
