On the Spectrum AR610 receiver the recepticles are named rather than being listed by channel number. They go as follows: BIND, THRO, AILE, ELEV, RUDD, GEAR, AUX1. The Seawind instructions use a Tactic TR625 receiver and it connects as follows: CH1 aileron, CH2 elevator, CH3 throttle, CH4 Rudder, Ch5 retracts, CH6 Flaps & lights. I might add that although my flaps don't move the lights come on.

Hmmm, have you tried reversing channel 6/aux? Ya never know.....

I got it. I need a DX6 for Dummies! This is only my 2nd plane and the first one with flaps. I finally found a screen with flap travel amount by switch position. IT HAD ALL ZEROS IN IT. N!O WONDER THEY DIDN'T MOVE ! I might be flying tomorrow after all!

Remember "it" doesn't happen unless there are pictures to prove it!

Super! We were a lot of help, huh?

BTW, is the switch 3 positions?

Bust out your MONITOR screen (w/o the receiver powered up) and see what the switches are doing.

What version of the DX6 are we talking about?

Absolutely a big help. I couldn't have done it without you guys. Charley's suggestion to try reversing the servo got me going in the right direction. Yes, it's on a 3 position switch. I just need to set the flight control deflections and that should do it.

Okay, I thought I had it figured out. I'm getting a constant beeping coming from the motor area. I went to adjust the elevator throws and apparently I did something requiring me to rebind it because when I moved the elevator control the motor started running and wouldn't stop until I disconnected the battery. I did a rebind but the beeping won't stop and the motor doesn't turn with throttle advance. Any suggestions?

I hope you don't have the prop installed on the motor. Sounds like the ESC may have gotten into programming mode. Take a look at the ESC programming instructions. Isn't this fun?

Triple checked, all in the right place. The only reference to engine beeping is on page 6 of the Seawind instruction manual. In a big warning for setting the failsafe it says the motor will beep if the throttle is not in the low position.

No, the prop is not installed. ESC programming instructions? Yikes! Where do I find those? Right now when I turn on the transmitter, then plug in aircraft battery the motor beeps and I can't stop it.

There isn't a separate ESC manual. On page 6 of the assembly manual there's a blurb on setting the failsafe. in paragraph 4 of that blurb, it speaks of the motor beeping if the throttle stick isn't all the way down when the battery is plugged in to the ESC. Could you have accidently reversed the throttle channel whilst setting other stuff? Easy enough to find out: set the throttle all the way up and then plug in the battery. Just another shot in the dark.

Also, pull the throttle trim to full low.

Actually, no. Trim full up for the reversal test.

Put throttle trim in full low and did another bind. The beeping continues...ugh. I'm totally lost.

I checked the transmitter screen and a big warning pops up so I'm positive I did not reverse the throttle servo. Interesting though, I tried turning it on with the throttle up full and the beeping stopped, that is until I went back to normal. AARRRGGGGHHHHHH THAT BEEPING!!!!!!!!

Not enough info. Sounds like you turned the Tx on with the TH full up & so got the warning. Turn on the Tx with the TH full down, then move it to full up, then connect the battery in the model. If the motor doesn't beep, move the TH down a bit to see if the motor runs. If it does, the channel is reversed. The throttle stick positioning warning may be independent of the transmitted pulse width.

Followed your directions exactly. Motor did not beep or turn as I lowered the throttle down to off. Moving throttle did nothing. Disconnected then reconnected battery and the beeping resumed...ugh.

I'm stumped. My replacement SW was delivered this evening. I wasn't going to mess with it until warmer weather but I'll get ti out of the box, hook up a Rx and see how it goes. Maybe I'll gain some new insights.

Smitty, I would do a 'start over' - completely - rebind your RX when the throttle is all the way down, retracts down and the throttle trim all the way down....try that and if it doesn't work (beeping continues); rebind your RX with the throttle all the way UP, and the trim all the way up.

Worth a try anyway....I had a similar experience with my Futaba but the flap switch wasn't all the way up...guess these TX are getting smarter than the operators <g>
