Default Strut Mounting of Maxford floats

I am getting ready to mount a pair of 60 size Maxford USA floats (version 2) and was questioning the
integrity of the strut mounting to the top of the floats--four 0.5 inch sheet metal screws per strut?

In floats I have built, I have used Nylon Nose Gear Blocks (Du-Bro 156) which are blind nut bolted to the top of each
float my rational being a stronger attachment than screws. With the Maxfords, access to the inside is not possible.

Thanks in advance for the feedback

Gary
