Default Mariner 40 windshield

I have one of the Mariner 40 seaplanes ARF.
I have now come to the point of mounting the wind shield, and have noticed that it is.. way.. way to narrow at the top.
It appears that,.. there is no way it will mount as per the instructions.
Do I have a bad one? or is there a trick to mounting?
All feed back appreciated.............Pylonjc

I noticed an unusual fit too. If you look at the pic, you can see where I cut the windshield to slide around the engine mast, but the windshield never even came close to it. Is yours like this or so small it won't fit?

Mike,
Thanks for your response.
Yes,... I cut the top of the wind shield for the motor mount mast and,.. mind doesn't come close to fitting.
The wind shield is molded to narrow at the top to fit over that top portion of the Fus.
Anyway how did you go around this problem and mount you wind shield?
Thanks again JC

Mine fit exactly as you see it in the pic. It didn't go back all the way, but it works just fine as is.

I'll go ahead and mount it the best I can.
Thanks again JC

Umm, just a thought, but have you considered calling Lanier and giving them a chance to help you?

Bubba probably wants you telling people nice things about his airplanes as much as he wants your money in the first place.
