Default Help- KMP beaver On floats

Good Afternoon, I´ve been reading these posts regarding the incidence of the wing and I will fix the issue soon, but my trouble is with the step of the float, which is 3 inches behind the CG and if I move it forward it would end up on top of the cover of the float. What should I do, just leave it and fix the incidence problem? Thanks for any help I can get.

Sincerely,
Morromaxx

I wouldn't worry about it... 3" on a .40 size floatplane is an issue... But on that 1/6 scale beaver it won't even notice it.... Give it a try first before you do a whole bunch of mods....

Morromaxx,
I saw one fly off floats this weekend. And a beauty it is. "BUT" Not the 1st flight.. (Sorry Mel). Mel the pilot / owner had a hell of a time with his, From what he tells me, he thinks he needs to do some rudder coupling to help make smoother and better turns.
Make sure you get the plane layed out rite and ready to fly. The one I have seen fly is a work of art.......But looks and fly's like it has issues of "CG" (pitch sensitive) from what I see. But what do I know, I was just watching?

Update: Mel gave me a call and said he was having a flap switch senior moment.. Now I see Mel. I did ask him about his float step and he says his is rite on CG. I can tell you this, his ran sweet accross the water, and liffted off beautiful.
I have a real interest in the plane, it's such a nice looking plane, a little pricey, But a real sweet looker in the air.

Thanks Justplanekrazy, I will need to do some mods to the float itself to get the CG where it should and and the same time by just moving the float 3 inches forward the weight needed to balance the plane will be less.
Sincerely

I dont why yours would end up on the cover if you set the step on the CG, mine turned out ok unless your CG was not at the right place.
I find 3" to be a bit much,I always try not to exceed 1 in front or back, but the incidence is very important.
Got mine flying on floats at 20 lbs and take offs with 50% flaps and landing with 100% flaps, it flys very well.
