Default float mounting on a Kange Waco bipe

I'm building a Kange Waco bipe with a G38 and a set of 46" sea commander floats with the scale rigging that I never used on a 1/4 scale cub. I know that the float width should be 20-25% of the wingspan for sportscale and 18% for scale (per Sea Commander). My question is, does this rule apply for bipes? I would rather them be a little wider than narrower for the tipping/blowing over factor. Anyone have any experience with large bipes on floats? Thanks

Default RE: float mounting on a Kange Waco bipe

I have a Goldberg Ultimate on floats. I know of two rules of thumb to go by for floats.
The one you mentioned above, and 45% to 50% the length of the floats. I used this one for
my Ultimate and it worked just fine.
