Its amasing how George can transform everything!!

Once I filled with putty all the micro-scratches and gaps to smooth the surface
of the fuselage I decided to do ,at this point, all the openings...(windows - W.T.overflow openings)...
before the glassing process .

All distances were calculated and all the openings were created according
to the real plane measurements... (thanks ... pappy... )
The result left me completely satisfied, especially that of the Observation blister (Bubble Window) ...

Hi Tereso, my English is not very good. Spectacular on link and construction, could facilitate the design or construction mode of the landing gear? I'm making a Sikorsky s-43 and do not like the train. Thank you very much.

Well, I don't know why, but I've only been lurking on this thread here and there, Yesterday I read though much of it and got a giggle out of the fact that my plane was included is someone's post 3 years ago (first picture here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=5277991 ) LOL, he must have pulled that out of my gallery or a very old post as I haven't worked on the plane in 5-6 years.
Anyway,
just to add to the Kudos others have given,, the craftsmanship you put into the scale details is awesome,,
I'll continue to lurk and hopefully get motivation to work on my 415 again
good luck

I found these pictures too ,years ago ,when I was gathering
information about this plane on the net.
You know...This picture was the reason to start building this Gear 4+ years ago....
Thanks for your kind words and wish to see your plane finished as soon as possible.

teresos
I knew that there was a reason that I always kept saving the strainers from kitchen and bath taps but I never knew what it was. Now I Do!
Very ingenious. This is getting better every day.
Cheers

RE: Bernard Dumas' Canadair CL-215
......Time has come to apply fiberglass......
The process started with the fuselage.
First the hull ,then the top and at the end the sides.
I applied epoxy and fiberglass and used a credit card (learned from pappy)
to smooth it out and remove the excess epoxy.

George did a fantastic job in preparation of the surface and smoothed out every imperfection so glassing was a piece of cake!!!
The issue is perfectly applied by George at the rest of the procedure that i believe that the plane needs just a finishing with putty and it is ready to be painted!!!
PS:George learns fast!!!!!hahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha

RE: Bernard Dumas' Canadair CL-215
Finishing with the glassing and before beggining the painting procedure,
had to deal with some more scale details......
First of all....Water Overflow and Vent Duct.
I made square balsa boxes, after I first glassed them from the inside for water proofing them.
Except for that ,I also constructed fiberglass tubes by turning the fg material onto a paper tube.

RE: Bernard Dumas' Canadair CL-215
....Same small fg tube pieces will be glued onto the water tank in order to make easier
the connection between the water tank and the water overflow .
The material for the mesh screen is came from a small kitchen-tea strainer......
