Default Northstar with YS45

I built a northstar almost 20 years ago and it's about 99% complete.
I covered it with silk and painted it, but over the years the covering is starting to ripple (on the solid surfaces - elevator, hz stab, rudder, etc.).
I'm thinking about re-covering it and if I go that route, I would like to make some modifications to it.
Some of the mods I was thinking about were putting servos in the pod and maybe relocating the fuel tank to the CG (in the body).

My engine is a YS 45 with the pressurized system. Would this be enough to push the fuel up to the engine?
I also thought about putting in a perry pump, but don't want to over do it if the pressure system was sufficient.

Has anybody used a YS 45 on this plane and relocated the tank?

Thanks
Jeff

I don't see why you couldn't put the tank on th CG with the YS. I used one in a pusher that had almost 2' of fuel line and the engine still ran great. Check out how far the fuel squirts if you pull the line off the carb before you open the vent line. When you get it done lets see some pictures.

We had a local member that built about 10 North Stars of different sizes. But one constant was he always used a pump to keep the fuel in the fuse on the CG. And his engine of choice for the standard size was the YS 45 for just that reason.
