Well I decided to just order both, of course the m840/3 was on back order. Here's a video with the x442/3, after a 15 minute run the motor battery and esc weren't even warm....

Scraped those decals off and then sanded and painted with a can of paint I had laying around, swapped the 1.6px37.5 for a .85px37.5 prop. Not perfect but better than before

Just some suggestions as nobody also has chimed in, I think it would look cool and help with fine tuning to put on 4 trim tabs 2 on each side for a scale look. amd like you said I'd run a flex line...

found some info on the graupner eco speed which is a similar boat, it uses a graupner 32mm 3203 series prop. found a 37.5 and 40mm 3203 series in my parts bin, they have a .8x prop diamter pitch.

sorry to burst your bubble, im not an expert either but that is a very unrealistic goal for that hull. i believe 40mph will be your upper upper limit. i could be wrong though, just my 2 cents.
