Thats a lot of weight, I would block the firewall and move the motor forward. The distance from the prop to the cowl will only Improve the performance of the motor, forget the distance...

Hey DCoy! Not to worry, 2oz on the wing tip is not much at all, remember you have a 20+ pound airplane. Just very neatly cut the covering about 1/2 inch past the wing tip and peel the covering back...
