RE: E-flite Minifuntana X

Had my Mini Funtana X for 3 seasons. Loved it. If you like to fly knife edge, add the SFGs. It flies great aerobatics "on the wing". I reengined mine with a Hacker A30-16M and a Castle Creations...

RE: Andy Sheber's Pitts ARF by RC Guys

Bill,

Don't worry about the whiners. I built the previous generation Pitts. There were a couple of minor issues, but with a little patience and just a little common sense it makes a nice model....

RE: Andy Sheber's Pitts ARF by RC Guys

Hiya,

I've got a Desert Aircraft DA-50 in mine. Aside from some minor foward CG issues (I wound up splitting the elevator and going with separate servos in the rear of the fuselage...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

Hello Mo

Take a look. There are holes or slots under the covering under the horizontal stab. You need to find 'em and open them up a bit. Do not just cut a hole and pass the cables thru. You do...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

When you say crab foot, you mean flying in a slip or that you need lots of right rudder trim? I got 2.5 degrees of right thrust and 2 degrees of down thrust and it tracks nice on up lines and trims...

RE: Andy Sheber's Pitts ARF by RC Guys

Bob,

Thanks for the video! She looks great in the air for sure. I definitely looks like a solid performer, particularly in knife edge. She also looks like a real Pitts on the landing rollout too...

RE: Andy Sheber's Pitts ARF by RC Guys

Bob,

The Pitts is looking schwweet. The smoke looks cool too! Thanks for the heads up on the trim taping - I went over my bird with an iron just to make sure. We're getting closer to Spring up...

Hi Bob,

You're making my mouth water in anticipation! Knife edge flight is one of my favorite regimes. I recall from the Fly RC and Model Airplane News reviews that this Pitts does do some...

RE: Andy Sheber's Pitts ARF by RC Guys

Hi Bob,

Yeah, one of the reasons that I went with the 5955TG's was that I wanted to avoid any possibility of flutter. I figure 333 oz-in of tourqe should do! I also run a 30% Yak-54 with a DA50R...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

Jaketab,

Reference your pull/pull rudder setup: what you want to do is mount one of rudder servo arm ball links above the arm and one of them below the arm so the cables do not rub together. If...
