As I understand it, carbon receivers (AR9300 etc) are just equipped with longer feed-through aerials to bring the active sections at the tips out of the shielding effect of the carbon fuz, both on...

RE: Newbie questions re power...

Just had a look at the aeroplane on the Eflite website and If it were me, I'd go for the 32 & 4S setup. As for getting the best duration; that is always going to be down to flying style, good...

RE: Need help with prop choice on Hacker A30

Something odd going on here as I wouldn't expect a great difference in motor power consumption between props of such a similar size. If you're getting vibration to such a level with one prop and not...

RE: X4 Charger help

Check that you've entered the correct discharge information for your battery in the charger menu i.e cut off voltage (based on 1V/cell) and discharge current typically 0.5C to 1C. Charge current...

RE: Good start for a noob on a budget?

Make sure that you read up on the theory side of model helicopters and how to set them up. http://www.raptortechnique.com/index-raptor.html is a brilliant site, read it from start to finish.

RE: Need help with my Electrifly Tiger Moth

Sounds like you need to teach the ESC the full and closed throttle positions of your TX. You're using a Spektrum transmitter so make sure you have the throttle channel reverser set to normal (i.e not...

RE: Parkzone Wildcat Pics

Great pictures and a lovely blue sky, although I bet it's very cold. Here in England, parts have just had the snowiest winter for fifty years, trouble is temperatures never get anywhere near as low...

RE: Propeller advise for multiplex parkmaster

If the ESC doesn't work but emits a series of beeps after the battery is connected, it 's more than likely that the ESC is not recognising the signal from the throttle channel. To set the throttle...

RE: Propeller advise for multiplex parkmaster

No, don't use props designed for IC on most electric setups. IC props are designed to be far more robust and heavy to withstand the shocks of running on an IC engine, also the extra weight and...

RE: ultrafly motor

Missing circlip perhaps? At the rear of the motor, the short length of shaft that protrudes from the back bearing should be retained by a small circlip and possibly a washer. If it's missing, you'll...

RE: Ferrite ring on BEC

Return the item, the ferrite is important and protects your system from electrical noise generated by the ESC. Don't even think about using a washer, it will be totally ineffective.
