RE: Engine ShutDown

If you wait for your car to idle down and then touch the flywheel with your finger, it should stop almost instantly. You won't hurt your finger, or lean out the engine (pinching fuel line) or pack...

RE: not quite as off topic as it seems question...

I can't exactly recall the price of a Big Mac, but I believe it is around $2.85 Cdn. The price I'm paying right now for 87 octane gasoline is $0.962 per litre [:@]. So when my truck is just about...

RE: rc snowmobile

If the company is out of business, this doesn't help, but have a look at this if you want to drool a little more: Link.

RE: Building a kit for the first time.

I bought the Hyper 7 PBS RTR for my first car. I have to say that trying to build a kit straight up the first time must seem confusing and intimidating to newbies, as it would've been for me. I...

RE: After Run Care?

After adding your after run oil and turning it over a few times, make sure to leave the piston at bdc. Put your finger on the flywheel and gently move it until you feel the pinch of the piston in...

RE: Engine and Pipe Decision.

I disagree. I still think you should go with the JP-1. As most people have commented, the idea is to match your pipe to your engine's strength. Trying to get more top-end out of an O.S. RG through...

RE: what engine does the tq have?

Thanks for clearing that up for me b@5her. I forgot to look at the country of origin of the person asking the question. With so many variations from the same manufacturer in the world-wide market,...

RE: what engine does the tq have?

I wasn't aware there was an RTR available for the Hyper 7 TQ. That would seem to defeat the whole purpose of the kit and the choices you can make. Look closely at the picture I've attached from the...

RE: Hyper 7 PBS Breakin

I don't know why anyone hasn't mentioned it yet, but heat is your friend when trying to start a new "tight" engine. Get out a heat gun or hairdryer and pre-heat the motor. When I went to start my...

RE: Engine and Pipe Decision.

I only have experience with the OS RG and the JP-1 pipe. I'm quite happy with the value/performance ratio. As you say:
The OS RG is certainly reliable and certainly cheap (price wise). Is it...

RE: General Discussion Forum

My thought is that there are other forums for other topics somewhere else, and chat rooms for general discussion. Its hard enough wading through the pages and pages of repeat topics and questions...

RE: Reciever Antenna Tube

Rather than purchasing a clamp to hold the antenna tube into the entrance hole, has anyone thought about drilling a small hole through one side of the antenna tube base and then putting a small set...

RE: Tire clean up with acetone.

I have used acetone to clean up my tires and wheels after a glue job, with no apparent ill effects. Now I'm talking a little bit of acetone on a shop towel and I rub the excess CA. Some say it'll...

RE: Shocks

A certain amount of chassis slap is to be expected when jumping a buggy of that weight through that height. Take a look at the bottom of the chassis of some of the racers and you'll see what I mean....

RE: Hyper .21 Pipe...

Its my understanding that your type of engine has already made the choice for you. You are supposed to match the pipe to your engine's strength. Putting a "lower revving, bottom end pipe" on a high...

RE: looking for part number please

If you're looking at getting a starter box, why not spring for the chrome top? It is also available at Nitrohouse (but currently out of stock I see). A much, much, much better box in my opinion.
